A complete turnkey manufacturing plant for Weatherford's COROD continuous-rod line: site, buildings, production equipment and PLC controls, commissioned and turned over as a working factory in seven and a half months.
The build
Situated on ten acres with over 110,000 SF of pre-engineered building, the project included a rail spur for raw-material receiving, central offices for production and quality control, manufacturing lines, and final product storage and staging. Wallace & Smith set up all production equipment and implemented and commissioned all PLC control, working directly with Weatherford's engineers.
