Weatherford’s COROD continuous rod is one of the leading well optimization solutions for reciprocating and progressing cavity pumping (PCP) applications.  Weatherford contracted with Wallace & Smith for a complete design-build turnkey solution.  Situated on 10 acres, with over 110,000 square feet of Pre-Engineered Building, the project consisted of a rail spur for raw material receiving, central offices for production and quality control, manufacturing lines, and final product storage and staging. Wallace & Smith constructed the site and building, set up all production equipment, implemented and commissioned all PLC control, working closely with Weatherford engineers, with a final turnover of a working and fully functional facility in 7 ½ months.
